Axis Opens Milestone Experience Center in Detroit

The 20th regional facility focuses on interactive technology demonstrations and collaborative security solution testing.

Axis Communications has reached a milestone in its regional growth strategy with the opening of its 20th Axis Experience Center in the Americas. Located in the One Campus Martius building, the new Detroit tech hub serves as a hands-on environment for customers to interact with network video, access control and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies.

The 7,200-square-foot facility is positioned in a central business district to support the local industrial and technological sectors. The center is designed to move beyond traditional product displays, offering visitors the ability to test integrated systems and evaluate business intelligence tools in a real-world setting.

Key features of the Detroit location include a security command center that highlights situational awareness through video analytics. The facility also houses an engineering and testing lab where partners can validate system functionality and experiment with new hardware integrations prior to deployment.

The site also includes a dedicated training room for the Axis Communications Academy. This space will host certification courses and educational sessions for system integrators and end users to stay current on evolving IP-based security solutions.

This latest opening brings the total number of Axis Experience Centers to nearly 40 worldwide. The network, which began its Americas expansion in 2012, includes facilities in major metropolitan areas such as New York, Houston, Mexico City and Madrid.

The Detroit center provides views of the Detroit River and features architectural elements intended to foster a collaborative atmosphere. It joins a global network of centers aimed at providing regional access to technical resources and professional development.
