Dynamic Workflow Solutions and Pimloc have announced a partnership to provide public safety agencies with a unified system for managing digital evidence and automating the redaction of personally identifiable information.
The joint solution integrates Pimloc’s Secure Redact software with the DWS Data-Central Evidence Engine. The move aims to address the growing backlog of Freedom of Information Act and legal disclosure requests facing police departments and government organizations.
As body-worn cameras, CCTV and mobile footage become routine in criminal investigations, agencies are managing unprecedented volumes of data. Much of this footage arrives in proprietary formats that traditionally require manual processing and frame-by-frame redaction before public release.
The new workflow allows DWS to rewrap proprietary video files into standard formats, which can then be sent to the Secure Redact platform with a single click. The AI-driven system automatically detects and blurs faces, license plates and other sensitive identifiers.
"Digital evidence has scaled faster than the workflows around it," said Simon Randall, CEO of Pimloc. "We are connecting redaction directly into how evidence is ingested and managed, helping agencies handle requests faster and with confidence."
The system is designed to support a variety of media types, including in-car video systems and social media content. According to DWS CEO Dave Glover, the automated approach is becoming a necessity for agencies under pressure to meet strict disclosure deadlines without increasing headcount.
The integrated platform is now available globally for law enforcement, legal offices and records management teams.
