SIA Announces Perimeter PREVENT 2026 Speaker Lineup

The Security Industry Association has revealed the full agenda for its upcoming symposium focused on the latest advancements in physical site protection and edge security.

Industry leaders and government officials will gather in the nation's capital next month to address evolving threats to physical environments at Perimeter PREVENT 2026.

The Security Industry Association (SIA) symposium, scheduled for June 24, will focus on integrated defense strategies for government facilities, data centers and critical infrastructure. The program features a keynote session with retired Gen. William J. Walker, who previously served as the Sergeant at Arms for the U.S. House of Representatives and commanding general of the District of Columbia National Guard.

SIA CEO Don Erickson noted that the 2026 conference highlights the rapid evolution of perimeter technologies, including lighting, LiDAR and protective design. The event aims to bridge the gap between emerging security hardware and the shifting tactics of potential intruders.

Session topics will cover the convergence of thermal imaging and artificial intelligence, the implementation of digital twin visualization and the application of crime prevention through environmental design. Experts from companies including Motorola Solutions, FLIR Systems and Gallagher Security are slated to present on automating situational awareness and securing high-risk sites.

Additional programming will explore the specific challenges of data center perimeters, where construction-phase security must eventually transition into permanent infrastructure. The event concludes with a technical networking session for security solution providers and agency personnel.
