Ultimate Visual Solutions Expands Collaboration With Philips

A surge in high-security control room deployments drives an expanded partnership between the video wall specialist and the display manufacturer.

Video wall specialist Ultimate Visual Solutions has expanded its partnership with Philips Professional Displays following a significant increase in the deployment of its liquid-crystal displays for security infrastructure projects.

The integration of Philips hardware in Ultimate Visual Solutions installations grew by more than 50% over the past year. The deployment includes high-security operations centers for law enforcement, fire departments, healthcare facilities, transportation networks and commercial retail security centers.

The companies recently deployed 65-inch, 4K-resolution video wall displays for an infrastructure project in Scotland. They also finalized an integrated installation for a security control room at a historic arts and concert venue in London.

The expanded relationship follows joint trade exhibitions at the Emergency Services Show and The Security Event in Birmingham, England. During the events, the companies showcased integrated hardware solutions powered by the proprietary Lucidity video wall controller.

Engineers from both companies are scheduled to begin compatibility testing to validate the proprietary controller software directly within Philips hardware modules. The configuration intends to embed video wall management functionality directly inside the display units without external processing hardware.

Ultimate Visual Solutions develops custom audio-visual displays and control room infrastructure, primarily servicing government facilities, correctional institutions and emergency command centers. Philips Professional Displays operates as a division of TPV Technology, manufacturing digital signage, commercial monitors and professional broadcast displays.
