Zeus Fire and Security has appointed Michael Cox as chief executive officer as part of a planned leadership transition.
Founder Scott R. Elkins, who served as CEO since the company's formation in February 2022, will transition to the role of executive chairman and join the board of directors. Elkins will remain active in the company, focusing on strategic growth, acquisition strategy and industry relationships.
The leadership restructuring is intended to support continued growth across North America following the company's recent acquisition of SEi. Since its founding, Zeus has grown its revenues fourfold to become the eighth-largest fire protection, security and life safety company in the United States.
Cox joins Zeus with experience in leading and scaling multi-site service businesses. He previously helped lead a services company as it grew from $300 million to more than $1 billion in revenue.
Company officials stated that the executive transition will not change the organization's overarching business strategy, operating model or cultural foundation. The company will continue to execute its growth strategy through operational excellence, customer service and strategic acquisitions.
