Cybersecurity firm Camelot Secure appointed Victor Brown as its new chief technology officer, a move intended to bolster the company's defense platforms against increasingly sophisticated digital threats.
Brown brings more than 30 years of experience in information technology, artificial intelligence and federal market leadership to the role. He previously served as vice president and chief technology officer for IBM U.S. Public and Federal Market, where he earned distinctions as a distinguished engineer and quantum ambassador.
In his new role, Brown will oversee the technological advancement of Camelot's Secure360 Platform. He is tasked with managing collaboration among the engineering, product management and development teams to improve network defenses for government agencies, defense contractors and commercial enterprises.
Company leadership noted that the appointment comes as artificial intelligence and quantum computing alter the cybersecurity landscape. Brown will focus on driving system innovations to help clients manage hybrid-cloud risks and changing federal compliance rules.
