ZeroEyes Invests Ten Million Dollars to Expand AI Security

The weapons detection firm will hire more than 100 Philadelphia-area veterans over the next two years to fuel research and development.

Weapons detection company ZeroEyes announced a planned $10 million investment in artificial intelligence and machine learning research and development.

The expansion plan includes a commitment to hiring more than 100 military veterans in Southeastern Pennsylvania over the next 24 months. The new hires will fill roles as technical program managers, machine learning operations engineers and artificial intelligence solutions specialists.

The funding will support several initiatives, including the company's 3,000-square-foot experimental technology laboratory used to test weapons detection models and hardware. It will also fund the expansion of the Conshohocken-based ZeroEyes Operations Center, a monitoring hub staffed by military and law enforcement veterans.

Additionally, the company is developing small drone technology capabilities. These include 3D environment mapping, aerial threat detection and active shooter disorientation systems.

The company recently expanded its platform beyond firearm detection to include knife detection and real-time threat geolocation.
