Boon Edam Secures Five Consecutive Years of OSHA Safety Recognition

North Carolina security entrance manufacturer maintains elite SHARP status through employee-led workplace safety programs.

A global physical security entrance manufacturer has achieved five consecutive years of elite workplace safety certification from federal regulators.

Boon Edam Inc. maintained its status in the Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program, an initiative overseen by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The designation applies to the company’s manufacturing operations in Lillington.

The federal program identifies small-business worksites that operate exemplary safety and health management systems, maintaining injury and illness rates below national industry averages.

Facilities earn and retain the designation by undergoing comprehensive safety assessments, actively involving employees in hazard identification, and maintaining ongoing risk-reduction procedures. The Lillington facility utilizes worker-led safety committees, continuous training, near-miss reporting tools and regular operational reviews to minimize hazards on the factory floor.

The site manufactures security turnstiles, speed gates, and architectural revolving doors used across commercial, healthcare, educational, transportation and critical infrastructure sectors.
