ViewScan Expands Protect Analytics, Adds Online Resources
Expanded analytics and alert management support video surveillance, environmental sensors and remote response workflows.

Security technology provider ViewScan has released an updated version of its ViewScan Protect platform, which the company says offers broader analytics and is intended to help operators respond and intervene sooner.
The platform analyzes video feeds and signals from environmental sensors to identify security and building-related events. It combines artificial intelligence models, event management tools and an operator interface within one monitoring environment.
ViewScan’s on-site software evaluates data transmitted from cameras and sensors. The AI software can identify various activities, including human presence or loitering, unusual sensor readings and movement across designated boundaries.
When the system generates an alert, a remote operator reviews the event to determine whether it requires further action. The operator may use live audio to address a suspected trespasser before contacting local law enforcement or an on-site security team when escalation is necessary.
The platform’s workflow consists of five stages: capture, detection, verification, deterrence and escalation. Human review remains part of the process before an alert is escalated.
ViewScan also redesigned its website with updated case studies, event videos, white papers and frequently asked questions. The company plans to add a calculator for estimating potential savings related to staffing, employee efficiency and energy performance.
