SIA, AMAG Partnership Introduces OSDP Training Program
Courses are available to sales and marketing professionals, installers and operators, and are intended to strengthen security and system efficiency.

Security professionals will have access to a tiered training program on the Open Supervised Device Protocol through a new partnership between the Security Industry Association and AMAG Technology.
Course content varies by role, with sales and marketing teams studying the protocol and its advantages over older protocols, while technical personnel learn how to set up, configure and troubleshoot the equipment, according to the association’s announcement.
Known as OSDP, the protocol defines how access control devices communicate and supports connections between compatible security products.
Sales and marketing instruction will explain the protocol compared to older technologies. Installers and operators will practice configuring equipment and resolving technical problems in instruction combining AMAG coursework with SIA’s OSDP Boot Camp.
AMAG is incorporating SIA-certified OSDP training into its core curriculum. Participants will earn a SIA OSDP Certified badge upon completion, said Kyle Gordon, AMAG’s executive vice president of global revenue and customer experience.
