Organizations using Salt Security’s platform can now configure automated responses to identified threats, including withdrawing access and applying protective rules through connected security tools, the company announced.
The addition, called Autonomous Defense, uses expanded Salt Workflows to translate findings involving AI agents and application programming interfaces into response actions. Customers determine which events prompt automatic intervention and which changes need approval.
Available actions include disconnecting unauthorized AI tools, reducing permissions and sending blocking instructions to web application firewalls or API gateways. Connected systems can also filter unsafe requests, redact sensitive information and restore approved configurations.
The Agentic Security Graph links AI agents, tools and APIs with information about source code, configuration and runtime behavior. Salt said those relationships help identify potentially dangerous connections and guide responses.
A workflow builder supports more than 200 connectors. Actions depend on organizational policies and the controls available through integrations, while notifications, incident tickets and activity records remain part of the response process.
