CrowdStrike to Acquire Dreadnode and Fiddler AI

CrowdStrike agreed to acquire Dreadnode and Fiddler AI to add automated red-teaming and behavioral observability to its platform.

A cybersecurity provider will acquire two artificial intelligence startups, expanding its platform to test autonomous systems before deployment and monitor them in production.

CrowdStrike signed definitive agreements to acquire Dreadnode, an automated security testing firm, and Fiddler AI, a company focused on agent observability. Both deals are slated to close during CrowdStrike's fourth fiscal quarter, subject to standard closing conditions. The purchase prices consist predominantly of cash alongside vesting stock.

The acquisitions address vulnerabilities distinct to generative models and autonomous agents, which traditional software testing cannot detect. These risks include prompt injections, jailbreaks, logic deviations and unintended actions.

Dreadnode’s software executes automated attacks against enterprise models, reasoning loops and applications prior to release. The system tests against security standards such as the OWASP Top 10 for Large Language Models and MITRE ATLAS. Dreadnode staff will transition into CrowdStrike's research division.

Fiddler AI develops tracking software that monitors tool calls, tracks computing costs and alerts organizations when autonomous software drifts from its intended scope. CrowdStrike plans to integrate the technology into its Falcon platform under the name Falcon Observe.

Both products will launch in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2027.
