SIA Names 12 Women in Security Forum Scholarship Recipients

Each recipient will receive $10,000 to support education, professional development or repayment of student loans.

The Security Industry Association (SIA) has selected 12 professionals and students to receive $10,000 each through its Women in Security Forum scholarship program.

Recipients can apply the funding toward continuing education, career development courses, conference attendance, webinars and student loan repayment. The program also covers SIA offerings and other academic activities.

The recipients include employees of Johnson Controls, Allegion, dormakaba, PSA, Seguridad Privada Sekuri, CBX Solutions and HID, along with students from the University of Virginia and Fairleigh Dickinson University.

SIA also named Maria Andrea Sanchez Cifuentes as the Sandy Jones Award recipient. The distinction recognizes the scholarship applicant with the highest score and honors security industry veteran Sandra Jones.

The scholarship program limited applications to employees of SIA member companies and SIA student members. Donations from association members and their companies fund the awards.
