Dallas's largest hotel, formerly the Adam's Mark, is repositioning itself with extensive renovations and upgrades that exemplify the brand's new image. Located in the heart of the Dallas financial district, the Sheraton Dallas Hotel has 1,842 guest rooms and 12 spacious convention areas that offer more then 230,000 square feet of meeting space.
NICE Systems recently announced that Transnet Port Terminals, the largest cargo terminal operator in South Africa, is expanding NICE’s IP video surveillance environment at Durban Car Terminal and Ngqura, for a total of five port terminals.

In response, manufacturers keep channeling enormous amounts of money into research and development to further satisfy a seemingly insatiable appetite for innovation. Video surveillance, being a significantly smaller market of around $10 billion per year worldwide, has been repurposing many of these consumer technologies for physical security applications.

IndigoVision’s integrated IP video security surveillance system has been adopted by Vienna Zoo for use in some ground-breaking research. Pandas, rhinos and penguins are being continuously monitored by CCTV cameras as part of an animal behavior research program.
