For the first time in history, the World Equestrian Games leaves Europe and comes to the United States, where, also for the first time, all eight disciplines will be held at one location: the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Ky., a 1,200-acre working horse farm, theme park and equine competition center. This year, the World Equestrian Games has a title sponsor, Alltech, an animal health and nutrition group.

The Motorola Solutions business of Motorola Inc. announced that Current Technologies, a full-service IT consulting firm and member of Motorola's PartnerEmpower channel program, has deployed its wireless video security solution in the Village of Maywood, Ill. to help local law enforcement better protect the safety of businesses and residents.
When the Melbourne City Council realized that there was no cabling infrastructure to support the expansion of its complex network of security video cameras in downtown Melbourne, they asked their security system integrator, SNP Security, to come up with a solution. After investigating several wireless vendors, SNP selected Firetide Inc., conducted a three month trial of their wireless infrastructure mesh network to demonstrate the reliability of the wireless solution to MCC and just recently completed the $2 million deployment. Anixter Australia acted as the project supplier.
