Live From ISC West 2023: Post-Show Recap

ISC West 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada, is in the rearview mirror, and I think all attendees can agree that it was a smashing success from start to finish. We’d like to thank our Live From partners one more time for letting us be their megaphone and help spread the word about their presence at the show.

Cleaning Up in Las Vegas

Cleaning Up in Las Vegas

Twenty-five years is a long time to do anything. I have been a steady companion attending ISC West for more than a quarter century. You know there have been changes over the years, many I very much appreciate. Scantily clad young women appealing to the largely male audience to step inside a booth. Certainly not necessary.

Thoughts on ISC West 2023

Last week was my second ISC West and my second trip to Las Vegas. I wrote previously about how we’re long out of the dark days of the pandemic, but I wasn’t prepared for the spectacle of the show floor—not just the exhibitors, but the sheer number of attendees.

Live From ISC West: Day 2 Recap

If it’s even possible, Day 2 of ISC West in Las Vegas, Nevada, was even busier than the first. Remember to keep tabs on our Live From ISC West page for news and updates from the show floor at the Venetian, because there’s more news coming out than anyone could be expected to keep track of. Our Live From sponsors—NAPCO Security, Alibi Security, Vistacom, RGB Spectrum, and DoorKing—kept the momentum from Day 1 going with packed booths, happy hours, giveaways, product demonstrations, and more.

On My Way Out the Door

To answer that one question I always get, at every booth visit, I have seen amazing product technology, solutions and above all else, the people that make it all work.

Live from ISC West: Day 1 Recap

The first day of ISC West 2023 is in the books, and it’s safe to say that vendors have brought their A-game to Las Vegas. The booths of this year’s Live From partners—NAPCO Security, Alibi Security, Vistacom, RGB Spectrum, and DoorKing—were swamped all day long. Here’s a brief recap of just a few highlights from each partner’s presence at the show.

Teledyne FLIR Launches First Family of Visible Security Cameras with AI at ISC West 2023

Teledyne FLIR, part of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, recently announced it will be exhibiting at the ISC West trade show from March 29-31, 2023 at the Venetian Expo in booth 34061, where it will be showcasing its new cameras and multilayered security solutions. FLIR is expanding its broad portfolio of visible cameras by launching its first family of visible security cameras with artificial intelligence (AI), the FLIR Quasar™ Premium Mini-Dome AI, which is making its debut at ISC West.

Turn on the AC, ISC West is Hot

Nothing warm about the Las Vegas weather outside. It is cold, and it was raining after the opening day. No one seemed to care inside the convention center. The hall was packed with inquisitive security professionals.

Return to Form

My first security trade show was in 2021. At the time, I was awed by the sheer magnitude of the event and the spectacle of products on display. But this was the first major trade show coming out of the pandemic, and the only commentary I heard was how low the attendance was. Two representatives from one booth even spent the last morning playing catch in the aisle with their giveaway stress balls.
