New Information System Helps To Automate Emergency Preparedness, Incident Management

Avineon Inc., a provider of IT, engineering, geospatial and program management services, recently announced the release of Avineonics, an information system that enables organizations to automate the preparation, organization, management, execution and documentation of emergency preparedness and incident management functions.

Avineonics optimizes industry knowledge and provides advanced technology for both daily and emergency response operations. The new system is based on Incident Command System (ICS) and National Incident Management System (NIMS) guidelines.

Avineonics uses intelligent business logic to orchestrate collaborative functions for training, roles management, resource management, planning, mobilization, operational periods, check-in, check-out, task assignments and performance ratings. The software produces a common operational picture to manage incidents effectively. Avineonics can be implemented as a stand-alone or an integrated system, complying with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) to support data and event-level integration. The system is web-based, with an accessible and easy-to-use interface.

Snap One has announced its popular Luma x20 family of surveillance products now offers even greater security and privacy for home and business owners across the globe by giving them full control over integrators’ system access to view live and recorded video. According to Snap One Product Manager Derek Webb, the new “customer handoff” feature provides enhanced user control after initial installation, allowing the owners to have total privacy while also making it easy to reinstate integrator access when maintenance or assistance is required. This new feature is now available to all Luma x20 users globally. “The Luma x20 family of surveillance solutions provides excellent image and audio capture, and with the new customer handoff feature, it now offers absolute privacy for camera feeds and recordings,” Webb said. “With notifications and integrator access controlled through the powerful OvrC remote system management platform, it’s easy for integrators to give their clients full control of their footage and then to get temporary access from the client for any troubleshooting needs.”
