Security On Every Level

ISC West kicks off today, and the buzz is spot on. There are more exhibitors with incredible products specifically designed for the security space. In our March issue of Security Products magazine, we published new products from many companies in the marketplace.

Our products are not to take the place of the SIA Showcase, but an opportunity for our advertisers to highlight products you’ll want to see the next three days. I hesitated and thought about telling you which products caught my eye, because I appreciate the support the magazine gets, but there were a few products that stopped me in my tracks.

I’m taken by PCSC’s rack-mounted fault tolerant controller. Here’s what I like about it. It is IT friendly and it’s available with standard 19-inch rack rails. Connections are easy with RJ-45 jackets on the front. I also like the product Tatung USA is showing in a public view monitor system. It’s a 20-inch plus LDC display with 480-TV-line wide dynamic range camera equipped with a varifocal auto-iris lens.

Last, but not least is the EverFocus digital pixel system color sensor technology. This is a wide dynamic, rugged dome camera that captures and improves image quality in scenes with bright and dark areas.

The Sands Convention Center is buzzing, and it’s time to begin the first day of appointments. I look forward to reporting back to you, our faithful readers about the new products and technology discovered today.

If you’re at the show, technology means that you could be receiving this on a hand-held device. Send me a note and let me know what you think of the products in the ISC West space.
