ioimage, e-Convergence Solutions Partner

ioimage recently announced that it has signed an agreement with e-Convergence Solutions, a specialized distributor of presence, security and convergence technologies, to distribute ioimage products to data networking VARs in North America.

As a result of this partnership, e-Convergence Solutions will market off-the-shelf intelligent video solutions from ioimage. e-Convergence Solutions, based in Centreville, Va., specializes in the data networking market, providing IT and security-related convergence products to data networking VARs and integrators throughout North America. A high concentration of e-Convergence reseller partners serve the federal government, intelligence community and commercial market.

“ioimage represents the first physical security device offered by e-Convergence Solutions to data networking VARs and the many high-level government customers they serve in the Washington, D.C. area and beyond,” said Joseph Heinzen, president of e-Convergence Solutions. “We’ve begun to incorporate physical security solutions in our product offering, because there’s a logical association between keeping someone from coming in the door and then letting them on the network. We feel that physical security and data networking security are a powerful combination for convergence applications and that video surveillance is the next big data network application.”

Thanks to the addition of ioimage products at e-Convergence Solutions, companies such as LANtek Inc., a network solutions provider in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, have begun implementing intelligent video solutions from ioimage for several customers; projects in the pipeline also include a local municipality and the military.

“We look for products that fill a unique niche,” said Dennis Cichelli, president of LANtek, Inc. “ioimage offers network-based intelligent video products. It’s a natural extension of our capabilities to add this to the network, enabling clients to access surveillance from anywhere.”

ioimage offers a comprehensive line-up of intelligent video devices, including video encoders and IP cameras that enable installers to take a plug-and-play approach to video analytics. ioimage solutions are ideal for retrofitting installations and for new sites. Its solutions have been deployed by car dealerships, manufacturing facilities, utilities and retail operations.

“This partnership with e-Convergence Solutions offers a comprehensive reach into the physical security, IT, data and government security markets,” said John Whiteman, VP and general manager for ioimage North America. “Now we can provide a simple-to-install solution to the data networking industry, an important sector within our sales and marketing efforts.”

This new feature is now available to all Luma x20 users globally. “The Luma x20 family of surveillance solutions provides excellent image and audio capture, and with the new customer handoff feature, it now offers absolute privacy for camera feeds and recordings,” Webb said. “With notifications and integrator access controlled through the powerful OvrC remote system management platform, it’s easy for integrators to give their clients full control of their footage and then to get temporary access from the client for any troubleshooting needs.”
