IndigoVision Wins Top Scottish Business Award

IndigoVision was recently honored at an event which recognizes excellence amongst Scotland’s business community. At the 19th Annual Scottish Council for Development & Industry  Awards for Exports & Enterprise, IndigoVision was awarded the Royal Bank of Scotland Award for ‘Outstanding International Achievements’. The award recognized IndigoVision’s high export turnover, its broad spread of overseas sales markets and the company’s plans for export growth in the future.

"It’s really pleasing to receive recognition for the international aspects of what we do,” said Oliver Vellacott, IndigoVision CEO. “Building a global presence is challenging, with lots of travel, multiple time zones and bringing together diverse cultures within one organization. Even though we now have our own people in 18 countries, we still have some way to go, but it’s great to be recognized for our achievements to date in building a genuine global business."

This follows on from a number of other prestigious awards recently won by IndigoVision, recognizing not only their export success but achievements in manufacturing and specific market sectors. The company scooped two awards at the 2008 ‘Security Excellence Awards’, beating off stiff competition to win the ‘International Achievement’ and ‘Security Manufacturer of the Year’ categories.

The ‘International Achievement’ award recognized IndigoVision’s export success for IP video in the worldwide Casino market. Since entering this market in 2006, IndigoVision has won contracts to supply fully digital IP-CCTV solutions for 25 casinos in seven countries, including a recent project involving nine casinos in Chile. All these have been in full compliance with local Gaming Boards’ strict regulations and represent more than 8,000 cameras.
