We’re well underway at ISC West, and if you didn’t have the opportunity to join us, there are a few “must know abouts,” and if you’re here, some definite must sees. Best off all, there is a must hear scheduled for tomorrow’s daily ISC West e-newsletter.
I’ve had the opportunity to interview Jeremy Hockham, vice president of sales for the Americas at Bosch. It’s a quick interview, but quite informative. We talk about IP surveillance, the potential for standards in the security industry and what to look out for during these strange economic times.
Bosch’s strategy for weathering the economic turmoil may apply to all who care to listen. The interview will appear in Thursday’s show update.
Here’s a couple of must sees at this year’s ISC West tradeshow:
Cooper Notification has implemented its portable mass notification system to broadcast show messages to attendees. Cooper officials say this will demonstrate the effectiveness of its wireless audio visual emergency system mobile speaker arrays. The purpose is to relay critical updates and emergency messages over wide areas.
The company has more to show at its booth with branded fire and security appliances.
NICE Systems also has a must see with its H.264 support and new content analytics applications. This solution can be used in new crowd detection and camera tampering content analytics applications. A closer look also is available in the company’s booth where the product combines real-time video analysis with IP networking, recording and management.
Also worth your time is a visit to HID Global, where company officials will demonstrate a broad variety of solutions that enable end users to implement everything from networked access control to contactless logical access solutions. The newest access solution features physical and logical access enabled by the same card.
