OnSSI Teams Up with AMAG to Create Enhanced Security Management System

On-Net Surveillance Systems, Inc. (OnSSI) has entered into a strategic partnership with AMAG Technology to integrate the capabilities of OnSSI's NetDVMS digital video recording platform with AMAG Technology's Symmetry security management solution. Users and integrators will reap the benefits of open-architecture, non-proprietary design in the combined system offering enhanced functionalities.

"The NetDVMS platform will boost the video management functionality of AMAG's Symmetry access control system," said Gadi Piran, President of OnSSI. "This agreement is a great opportunity for both companies to extend the reach of our now integrated technologies, and the true winners are the users who realize the advantages of an overall seamless system."

NetDVMS, OnSSI's large-scale video surveillance management system, is a multi-site, multi-server network video recorder and camera management software suite capable of managing an unlimited number of cameras and Ocularis video clients in a multiple-site deployment. It offers powerful recording/archiving, event management and intelligent motion detection with on-event Push Live Video.

AMAG's Symmetry Security Management Solution, available in Business, Professional, Enterprise and Global editions, provides a range of security management modules that integrate seamlessly for capabilities such as digital video recording, smart card management, alarm monitoring, etc. Each module is developed in collaboration with a network of technology partners, now including OnSSI as supplier of the first high-end recording platform to be certified and approved for integration with Symmetry.

"By integrating the powerful capabilities of OnSSI’s NetDVMS with Symmetry, we can provide our customers with even greater video management capabilities," said Matt Barnett, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, AMAG Technology. "AMAG is continually expanding the capabilities of our core products, and partnerships with industry leaders such as OnSSI further enhance the functionality of our security solutions."

The cooperative agreement highlights OnSSI's response to industry demands for open architecture and flexibility to empower integrators and users to choose the specific security solutions they need with confidence that the components will work together seamlessly. Offering a broader solution to address additional needs in the market, the agreement between OnSSI and AMAG Technology also reflects the continued growth of IP-centric solutions.
