Fastcom Showcases Anti-Tailgating Solution

At IFSEC 2009, Fastcom Technology will demonstrate three of the many applications possible with its SMACS advanced high-security anti-tailgating solution: with SMACS, any room can be easily transformed into an airlock.

SMACS represents the missing link in the access control chain (identification, barrier, one-person detection). With SMACS, users can resolve tailgating problems and know exactly how many people are inside a building or secure area.

With its intelligent SmartSight 3D infrared camera sensor, SMACS determines whether there is one or multiple individuals trying to access a gate, door or room fitted with card or biometric readers, and can trigger an alarm or stop unauthorized entry if it detects a second individual "tailgating" the first person.

At IFSEC 2009, Hall 4 C40 Fastcom will present the SMACS Flex advanced anti-tailgating solution for large airlocks. SMACS Flex detects tailgating situations and prevents access to secure areas.
