Intransa VideoAppliance Offers Pre Loaded Milestone XProtect IP Video Management Software

Intransa announced that its video surveillance appliances will now include XProtect™ from Milestone Systems, a provider of open platform IP video management software.

"The Intransa VideoAppliance introduction is a major step toward simplicity in the delivery of best-in-breed IP surveillance based on our open platform XProtect video management software," said Eric Fullerton, chief sales and marketing officer for Milestone. "This is a great option for customers and integrators to consider, reducing support and integration challenges and resulting in lower total cost of deployment."

Milestone XProtect was previously tested and certified by the Intransa StorAlliance Technology Partner Labs for integration with the company’s video data management and retention (VDMR) platforms that have the ability to scale from 2 to 1,500 terabytes (TB) of video capacity.

XProtect and more than 150 applications and products that include IP cameras, megapixel cameras, DVRs, NVRs, video management systems, physical security information management systems, life safety, access control, authentication, and biometrics are certified for risk-free integration with Intransa VDMR platforms. Milestone is one of the first solutions to certify their proven video surveillance technology for pre-loading on the new Intransa VideoAppliance family.

"For more than a decade, Milestone has demonstrated worldwide market leadership in IP video surveillance," said Bud Broomhead, CEO of Intransa. "We are extremely pleased to be able to offer XProtect as one of our premier offerings on the new Intransa VideoAppliance family, and expect our customers to be similarly excited."

Intransa VideoAppliance systems eliminate many of the issues associated with commodity hardware, bringing simplicity and reduced cost to video surveillance. Each Intransa VideoAppliance is optimized for video, eliminating the risk of improperly sizing and configuring commodity hardware, and ensuring maximum performance and availability in the demanding, 24x7x365 world of surveillance. Preloaded with XProtect, the power and capabilities of this advanced IP surveillance system are delivered by Intransa with the ease of an appliance, without any of the complexity or challenges of commodity hardware.
