Tech Data To Offer videoNEXT’s IP Security Management Software

videoNEXT, a provider of surveillance software and physical security information management (PSIM) solutions, recently announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with Tech Data Corp. to deliver its family of IP security management software to the Mac OS channel.

Tech Data's Apple Specialized Business Unit (SBU) will now offer videoNEXT's comprehensive video surveillance and physical security software solutions to its Apple reseller customers.

"The Mac platform is ideal for our video management software and partnering with a leading Apple distributor like Tech Data will help us to further penetrate this significant market," said Chris Gettings, president and CEO for videoNEXT. "Tech Data not only thoroughly understands the Mac platform, but has a tremendous wealth of connections to help us grow our market share for our Apple-specific solutions, such as our mobile video surveillance application for the iPhone."

Tech Data will offer its Apple reseller customers access to videoNEXT's entire suite of IP security management software, including solutions for small business, large enterprises and government agencies. Businesses and institutions using Apple-based solutions no longer need to take the extra step and investment to load virtualization software in order to create a Windows or Linux environment to operate their security system. videoNEXT enables users to turn any Apple computer attached to a network into a fully functional IP security control station.

"The addition of videoNEXT's IP security software is an opportunity for resellers to introduce Apple-based solutions to a broader customer base," said Brian Davis, Tech Data vice president, Client Systems Product Marketing. "There is an Apple-based solution for most any mission-critical business application, which makes Apple an appealing option for many business users. Partnering with innovative vendors like videoNEXT ensures our customers have access to the solutions they need to capitalize on emerging demand for Apple in corporate environments."
