Mace CSSS Announces Integration To VideoIQ Systems

Mace Security International Inc. recently announced that its subsidiary, Mace CSSS Inc., has successfully integrated the VideoIQ into its SureView advanced remote video monitoring and management platform.

The VideoIQ iCVR is the only intelligent camera and encoder family that requires no calibration -- users can simply plug it in and begin using it immediately. The iCVR combines automated event detection, a built-in DVR and integrated video management into a single solution -- all driven by next-generation analytics. The built-in analytics adapt to changes in the environment, eliminating maintenance costs that have plagued video analytics systems in the past. The result is a simple and proactive video surveillance solution -- with a low total-cost of ownership.

The combination of VideoIQ and the SureView video monitoring and management platform offers a cost-effective security solution that reflects Mace’s continued efforts to make Mace CSSS a leader in the central station monitoring industry.

“Video IQ is truly a unique technology that works,” said  Peter Giacalone, president of Mace Security Services. “ Utilizing this technology drastically reduces the associated remote monitoring monthly fees as the analytics does most of the work and only the exceptions are sent to central station for processing and action.”

"Mace dealers have a reputation for reliable, complete solutions," said Scott Schnell, President and CEO of VideoIQ.  "With VideoIQ and Mace CSSS, Mace dealers can offer customers an actively monitored, event driven video security solution, providing the security of guards at a fraction of the price.  This opens up a whole new stream of revenue and value add to Mace dealers."

Those factors all play a role in deciding how to configure a surveillance system, and how to effectively implement technologies like AI. Read Now

The security industry spans the entire globe, with manufacturers, developers and suppliers on every continent (well, almost—sorry, Antarctica). Recent data privacy regulations like GDPR in Europe and CPRA in California made waves when they first went into effect, forcing businesses to change the way they approach data collection and storage to continue operating in those markets. Even highly specific regulations like the U.S.’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) can have international reverberations – and this growing volume of legislation has continued to affect global supply chains in a variety of different ways.
