Arecont Vision Wins Outstanding New Vendor Award From PSA

Arecont Vision, provider of IP-based megapixel camera technology, recently announced the acceptance of the PSA Outstanding New Vendor Award at this year’s PSA-TEC show.

This award was created to acknowledge PSA vendor partners who provide PSA with outstanding service and quality products. Winning vendors were selected based on achieving high scores on a survey completed by PSA members and PSA customer service staff.

Scoring was based on eight performance categories: technical support, price advantage, responsiveness, ship dates, return authorizations, local rep support, product quality and reliability and overall improvement.

“It has been a pleasure to work with Arecont Vision and their professional team; they provide a quality product with excellent service and are quick to respond to our inquiries and requests,” said Marcus Batten, director of vendor management at PSA Security Network.

PSA Security Network, based in Westminster, Colo., includes members who specialize in the design, installation, integration and maintenance of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and fire and life safety systems. PSA Security Network's members combine purchasing power and the resources of vendors like Arecont Vision to provide customers with the benefits and personal attention to detail of regional companies.

“The Outstanding New Vendor Award that we received from PSA is important to the people of Arecont Vision for many reasons. First, PSA has a terrific group of members and we are honored that they chose Arecont Vision this year for this recognition. Second, the Arecont Vision employees and representatives have enjoyed working very hard with PSA and it is gratifying to see that the PSA members are excited about our products and recognize the hard work and support that our people provide to them every day,” said Scott Schafer, executive vice president of sales and marketing. “We are looking forward to a long relationship with PSA and hope to grow our business substantially together.”

  • The Stage is Set

The security industry spans the entire globe, with manufacturers, developers and suppliers on every continent (well, almost—sorry, Antarctica). That means when regulations pop up in one area, they often have a ripple effect that impacts the entire supply chain. Recent data privacy regulations like GDPR in Europe and CPRA in California made waves when they first went into effect, forcing businesses to change the way they approach data collection and storage to continue operating in those markets. Even highly specific regulations like the U.S.’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) can have international reverberations – and this growing volume of legislation has continued to affect global supply chains in a variety of different ways.
