Infinova's IP Camera Training Offers Continuing Education Credit

Infinova of Monmouth Junction, N.J., today announced that the company's new Technical Product Certification training, which constitutes 75 percent hands-on training and 25 percent lecture, will provide BICSI (Building Industry Consulting Service International) members with seven CEC credits and NBFAA (National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association) members with 0.5 CEU credits.

Participants will learn how to configure IP cameras using both browser connections and Infinova's V2240 Video Management Software (powered by Video Insight). Created for integrators and installers that provide system solutions for video security and surveillance using IP-based cameras, the one day, hands-on technical product certification class teaches integrators and dealers how to install and optimize IP surveillance cameras to deliver the best evidence for their customers.

"This 8-hour class spends the great majority of its time doing hands-on exercises because that's how people learn best," emphasized Mark S. Wilson, company vice president, marketing. "Plus, BICSI members can earn half their yearly continuing education credits while NBFAA members can earn approximately 40 percent of their units. By actually working with the products, dealers, integrators and installers will gain an increased understanding of IP technology, realize that IP video isn't hard to understand, obtain confidence in installing and configuring IP video products, and receive verification of their knowledge through certification testing.

"Working with others in the class," Wilson added, "they will be able to leverage new networking opportunities … and have new insights into the functionalities their organizations will need to successfully compete in the future."

The class also includes a demonstration and review of specific products used in the class, such as an IP megapixel, IP fixed minidome, IP dome, and IP pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) camera plus video management software (VMS).

The first class will be Dec. 3 in Dallas. A listing of the initial 2011 classes plus a class outline is available at www.infinova.com.
