VideoIQ Doubles Customer Base and Units Shipped in 2010

VideoIQ announced record results for 2010, more than doubling its customer base and unit shipments in 2009.

The company said this growth was fueled by the strong adoption of new products launched in 2010, including the iCVR-HD High Definition line of dome cameras with full onboard NVR storage, the iCVR standard definition line of indoor and outdoor dome cameras with full onboard NVR storage, and the iCST line of streaming cameras and encoders.

Last year the company's customer list continued to grow at record pace, resulting in more than 100 percent growth in total customers from the end of 2009. Growth was experienced in all major markets including education, utilities and energy, financial services, housing authorities and industrial and commercial within both North America and international markets. The company reported major competitive wins in utilities and energy, critical infrastructure, housing authorities, industrial sites and gated communities.

In addition to its product launches, VideoIQ entered into a formal partnership in 2010 with Niscayah US, which paired cameras and encoders with premier service to deliver new levels of security and more scalable system design to joint customers. The company's new products were added to the General Services Administration's Schedule 84 in 2010, enabling local, state and federal government agencies to get the latest information technology quality products and services.

The company also expanded its list of technology partnerships and added key relationships with Avigilon, Fluidmesh and Vidsys.

"VideoIQ now stands as the clear leader in decentralized storage and proactive surveillance," said Scott Schnell, president and CEO of VideoIQ. "Throughout 2010, we saw mainstream integrators and customers deploy both edge storage and analytic solutions in large and small installations because of the significant return on investment. And with the recent introduction of our line of high-definition, full 1080p solutions, we're seeing customer adoption rates further accelerate."
