Pivot3, Arecont Vision, Genetec Host Open IP Seminars in Europe

Pivot3 Inc., Arecont Vision and Genetec have joined together to host a series of one-day educational events throughout Europe. Pivot3 supplies IP SAN products to the physical security market, Arecont Vision develops megapixel network cameras, and Genetec develops networked security solutions. The combination of these technologies with Pivot3’s scale-out surveillance platform optimizes the ability for partners and customers to build security solutions that maximize value and reduce risks.

The educational events provide an opportunity for industry practitioners and installers to learn about the benefits of an integrated IP solution that includes video management software, megapixel cameras, and integrated storage and server technologies. Presented in a “lunch-and-learn” format, the seminars include presentations from all three manufacturers, technology demonstrations, networking opportunities and roundtable discussions. The overall mission of the single-day seminars is to showcase the benefits of an integrated IP solution and allow attendees to see the complete solution in use.

The educational seminar held most recently – in Paris on Dec. 8, 2010 – brought together nearly 70 reseller and end users. The next seminar will be held in Frankfurt, Germany, on February 23.

“Arecont Vision is focused on industry education, and these seminars are a valuable opportunity for us to connect directly with both the end user and reseller communities,” said Jason Schimpf, Arecont Vision’s partner relations ,anager. “Networked-based technologies are transforming the industry, and it is critical for us to participate in events that demonstrate how our megapixel cameras work as a part of a comprehensive IP video surveillance solution that maximizes value and enhances security.”

“These seminars provide a valuable opportunity for us to show how easily these networked technologies can be incorporated into a unified IP-based security solution,” said Morgan Pasnon, Genetec’s technology partner program manager. “The integration of our innovative security unified platform with powerful storage solutions and megapixel cameras creates a networked IP video system that is more superior, reliable and affordable than proprietary systems.”

"We are excited to have the opportunity to show the benefits of an open approach to IP video," said Lee Caswell, founder and chief marketing officer of Pivot3. "The industry is calling for more education regarding these comprehensive solutions, specifically on how to get the most return-on-investment. Our combined efforts with Arecont Vision and Genetec enable us to demonstrate the power of Pivot3 storage when leveraged in an open, enterprise-class IP video system.”
