Axis Announces On-Site Testing Center At ISC West For Certification Program

Axis Communications recently announced that ISC West attendees have the opportunity to become Axis Certified Professionals at the company’s on-site testing center from April 6-8 in Las Vegas.

To help individuals prepare for the Axis Network Video Exam, Axis and its partners have also announced one-day certification preparation courses beginning March 10 across the U.S.

Axis’ ISC West on-site testing center will be open during show floor hours in the Sands Expo & Convention Center, Room 101, and will be managed by third-party testing partner, Prometric, a global provider of testing and assessment services.

This will be the first time security professionals can take the Axis Network Video Exam and become certified at a public event. People can register to take the exam while in Las Vegas through Axis’ ISC West microsite: http://www.axis.com/iscwest/cert_prof.html.

To best prepare for the exam, Axis Communications’ Academy has introduced one-day Axis Certification Program Prep Courses beginning in early March at numerous locations across the U.S. A full calendar of Axis classroom-based trainings, which includes the three-day Fundamentals course, is available online, and interested security professionals can contact the Axis training team at 978-614-2000 to find a partner prep course in their area.

The Axis Certification Program Prep Course costs $99 and is designed for anyone wishing to take the certification exam at ISC West or any other date they choose. Axis Communications’ Academy also offers a variety of Web-based trainings, along with tutorials and guides to help individuals prepare for the exam, including the Axis Network Video Exam Prep Guide.

“ISC West attracts some of the most talented and dedicated security professionals in our business, so we wanted to provide these folks with a convenient opportunity to become Axis Certified Professionals,” said Fredrik Nilsson, general manager, Axis Communications Inc. “Our partners have expressed great interest in leveraging the new certification as a professional differentiator.”

The Axis Certification Program, launched in January, provides security professionals with a third-party validation of their competence and skills in the area of IP video surveillance. When a participant passes the advanced Axis Network Video Exam, it proves they are well-versed in the latest network video technologies, solutions, Axis products and best-practice techniques.

The Axis Certification Program exam costs $150 to take. For more details about the certification program, please see http://www.axis.com/certification, or visit Axis at booth No. 18051 at ISC West.
