Vision Technologies Adds Emergency Notification to Physical Security Offering

Vision Technologies Inc., an IT services company for the commercial and federal markets, and Metis Secure Solutions LLC, a provider of emergency notification systems, announced a strategic reseller and integration partner agreement. As a result of the agreement, Vision Technologies will market, sell, implement and support the Metis Secure precision emergency notification system.

“Vision Technologies can now provide a broader physical security solution, in addition to the access control and video surveillance systems we currently design and implement for our customers. This unique system can be easily integrated with existing notification and security systems to ensure full preparedness for building lock downs and active shooter scenarios,” said Al Saxon, senior vice president of sales and marketing.

“We are very excited to have such a significant partner with such strong national coverage of 325 employees in 18 states, as well as a world class reputation to represent our company, its products and services. We are looking forward to working with Vision Technologies to strengthen our position in various markets as the right solution to address significant gaps that exist in other emergency notification systems. As a young company this relationship will play a critical role in our future growth and development,” said Mark Kurtzrock, president and CEO of Metis Secure Solutions.

The Metis Secure system is an integrated hardware and software solution that combines comprehensive Command Center software, rapid two-way MS-5100 alerting devices and triple-redundant 900 MHz wireless mesh and IP communication networks to ensure security personnel can communicate to anyone or everyone, in seconds not minutes. “With unprecedented speed, reliability and targeting, Metis Secure is the solution for discerning security professionals who want to keep people safe in any situation,” Saxon said.

The system currently is in use at Carnegie Mellon University and Slippery Rock University and is being implemented at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pa.
