Citizant Promotes Sheila Murphy to VP of Recruiting

Citizant, a provider of business transformation and information-sharing solutions for national security and federal law enforcement agencies, has promoted Sheila Murphy to vice president of recruiting. Murphy oversees corporate and contract employment opportunities and leads the company’s strategic recruiting initiatives. Murphy reports to Citizant’s CEO, Raymond Roberts.

Citizant is currently seeking to fill more than 30 open positions for project management and information technology solutions experts, and anticipates many more open positions as the company wins task orders on major IDIQ contracts won earlier this year, including ITSS-4 with the Department of Justice and TIPSS-4 with the Department of the Treasury. Murphy’s internal recruiting team has sourced and hired nearly 50 employees in the first half of 2011.

“During the past four years, Sheila has played a key role at Citizant in building an organization of top talent,” said Roberts. “She is one of the best recruiters in the country and gives Citizant a strategic advantage over our competitors. Most important, our customers benefit significantly through Sheila’s rigorous search for quality professionals and the speed at which she brings employees on board.”

As director of recruitment at Citizant since 2007, Murphy was responsible for identifying top talent for the company in a competitive market and building its internal recruiting organization. Murphy is a certified trainer in the “A Method” hiring strategy created by Geoff Smart and Randy Street – one of only 100 of these trainers nationwide and the only one working for a government contractor. She has more than 15 years of experience in recruiting for companies such as Ajilon Professional Staffing, Sparks Personnel and TRAK Services across a wide array of positions, including administration, finance, sales, IT, executive, and cleared positions.

“I’m honored that Citizant has recognized my contributions to their growing team, and look forward to more years of enabling the company's rapid growth,” said Murphy. “By hiring the best employees, Citizant can remain dedicated to meeting its mission of providing the most effective technology solutions and highest levels of customer service to our customers.”

Murphy graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Boston University.
