Iluminar Joins Pelco’s Partner First Program

Iluminar, a specialist manufacturer and supplier of infrared (IR) and white illuminators and license plate recognition products, has joined Pelco’s Partner First Program.

Pelco by Schneider Electric specializes in the design, development and manufacture of video security systems. Pelco has taken an innovative approach to open systems design and the development of strategic alliances and partnerships by working with other companies to deliver fully integrated video security solutions. Given the exponential increase of IP-based installations, partnering with other manufacturers that are committed to open systems design makes perfect sense.

“Iluminar has been proud to work with Pelco with our infrared illuminators on the Esprit since 2009,” said Eddie Reynolds, president and CEO of Iluminar Inc. “Our variety of infrared and white light illuminators are very compatible with the full range of Pelco cameras, making it a simple synergy for all applications.”

Specifically, Iluminar’s IR229-P units are infrared illuminators that can be integrated into the Pelco Esprit. They enable clear visibility up to 100 meters at night when the camera goes into black and white mode. Pelco provides bracket and transformer so illuminators are powered through the Esprit for 360 degrees of illumination.

“We are pleased to welcome Iluminar into our Partner First Program with the integration of our Esprit with their infrared illuminators,” said Jeremy Hoyos, integration business development manager for Pelco by Schneider Electric. “We are very excited by the integration of our two platforms, which again demonstrates our commitment to openness and in providing the joint solutions our customers are asking for.”

  • The Stage is Set

The security industry spans the entire globe, with manufacturers, developers and suppliers on every continent (well, almost—sorry, Antarctica). That means when regulations pop up in one area, they often have a ripple effect that impacts the entire supply chain. Recent data privacy regulations like GDPR in Europe and CPRA in California made waves when they first went into effect, forcing businesses to change the way they approach data collection and storage to continue operating in those markets. Even highly specific regulations like the U.S.’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) can have international reverberations – and this growing volume of legislation has continued to affect global supply chains in a variety of different ways.
