AMAG Technology Opens Washington, D.C. Area Office

Exponential growth in the government market has lead AMAG Technology, an access control, IP video and intrusion management solutions provider, to open an East Coast office in the Washington, D.C. area. AMAG celebrated the opening of the new office with an open house on May 25 that was attended by more than 75 Washington, D.C. area security consultants, systems integrators and end users.

AMAG’s Washington, D.C. area office includes a fully-equipped and state-of-the-art training facility. The training facility provides a convenient location for customers who reside in the Eastern half of the United States. It also has allowed AMAG to increase the number training classes offered.

A technology center also showcases AMAG’s Symmetry Homeland V7 Security Management System. Symmetry Homeland provides a physical access control system (PACS) capability that has been designed to comply with FIPS 201 and other relevant government standards, directives and guidance in support of smart card programs such as PIV, CAC, TWIC and FRAC, along with a fully-unified and ICD 705 compliant intrusion detection capability. The technology center provides security consultants, systems integrators and end users the opportunity to see and touch this and other AMAG hardware and software technology first-hand.

“Our new Government Systems Group operates out of this office, illustrating our dedication to this growing market,” said Bob Sawyer, AMAG Technology president. “In keeping with our commitment to provide excellent customer service, the D.C. area office training facility also offers additional and more convenient options for our customers to achieve Symmetry certification and obtain a closer look at AMAG’s latest hardware and software.”

Open house attendees received a tour of the new training facility and technology center, and a demonstration of AMAG’s new Symmetry Homeland V7 with intrusion detection.
