VideoIQ Expands Canadian Presence

VideoIQ has added a new manufacturer's representative in Canada. Source AV will be responsible for sales, technical support and distribution of VideoIQ's line of intelligent video surveillance systems across all of Canada, including iCVR-HD cameras, iCVR dome cameras, iCVR encoders, and the iCST line of streaming cameras and encoders.

The company’s all-in-one camera and encoder systems deliver up to full 1080p high-definition video, zero bandwidth recording and 100 percent self-calibrating adaptive analytics. Unlike conventional IP video surveillance systems which face significant bandwidth and storage challenges, iCVR cameras and encoders store video in up to 500 GB of onboard storage for months worth of recording, reducing network traffic and bandwidth consumption by more than 90 percent. Additionally, the adaptive analytics are 100 percent self-calibrating, eliminating the need to manually tune or adjust the analytics over the life of the device, which reduces installation and maintenance costs.

Source AV has more than 17 years of industry expertise, working with dealers and integrators across Canada to provide the right tools, technology and understanding to meet even the end-user's most difficult challenges. The company’s team-oriented, security advice and sales support the world's leading manufacturers of CCTV, control management software and access control systems to protect people and their property.

"Source AV continues to welcome innovative technologies that we can take to the Canadian Security market," said Don Douglas, president of Source AV. "VideoIQ is a leader in several key trends, HD resolution, 100 percent self-calibrating analytics and distributed storage are just a few of the features setting their offering apart from the crowd. In the rapidly transitioning security industry, VideoIQ's continued innovation will allow Source AV to shine against the competition."

"We are extremely excited to partner with Source AV at a time when our growth and recognition in Canada is continuing to accelerate," said Holly Tsourides, vice president of worldwide sales for VideoIQ. "With deep technical expertise and extensive experience in the surveillance industry, as well as a thorough understanding of the Canadian market, Source AV is the perfect fit at the perfect time. We look forward to a tremendous second half of 2011 and beyond."
