MOBOTIX Expands Americas Distribution Agreement with Tri-Ed

MOBOTIX, a provider of high-resolution, network-based security solutions, has expanded its distribution agreement with Tri-Ed/Northern Video, North America's largest independent wholesale distributor of security and low voltage products. The strategic partnership allows Tri-Ed/Northern Video to distribute the full-line of MOBOTIX IP-based security solutions in its Canadian branch offices, while continuing to deliver MOBOTIX technologies through its U.S.-based network.

“We are pleased to add MOBOTIX and its IP-based security solutions to our product portfolio in Canada,” said Paul Swan, vice president of sales and marketing, Tri-Ed Canada.

MOBOTIX's offerings, including the Q24 Hemispheric Camera and T24 IP Door Station, incorporate a high-speed computer and internal flash memory card to enable all recording and storage to occur within the camera, reducing the need for a separate PC or DVR. Furthermore, all data is processed within the camera to lower network bandwidth and maximize features, including virtual PTZ and 360-degree hemispheric technology with panoramic view.

“Our expanding presence and success in Canada is being further reinforced with the capabilities of strong partners such as Tri-Ed,” said Steve Gorski, general manager, Americas, MOBOTIX. “Tri-Ed’s established capabilities provides us with greater coverage and access to new reseller partners to further support our market growth throughout the Americas.”

This new feature is now available to all Luma x20 users globally. “The Luma x20 family of surveillance solutions provides excellent image and audio capture, and with the new customer handoff feature, it now offers absolute privacy for camera feeds and recordings,” Webb said. “With notifications and integrator access controlled through the powerful OvrC remote system management platform, it’s easy for integrators to give their clients full control of their footage and then to get temporary access from the client for any troubleshooting needs.”
