Arecont Vision Provides High Resolution Video Surveillance for Landmark New Jersey Meat Supplier

A video surveillance system incorporating Arecont Vision 1.3  and 2 megapixel cameras has recently been implemented at one of New York City’s premier restaurant suppliers. Arecont, manufacturer of high-performance megapixel IP cameras and associated software, was installed at Pat La Frieda Wholesale Meat Company, purveyor of fine quality meats and poultry to the trade. The restaurant uses the high resolution video surveillance system to help ensure security at their new facility, keep track of delivery vehicles, and the movement of valuable merchandise.

“Our dedication to maintaining unparalleled levels of imaging and resolution in our megapixel IP video cameras has kept us as the forefront of the industry and made Arecont Vision the brand of choice for companies such as LaFrieda,” said Chris Sessa, director of sales for Arecont Vision. “We are pleased to have another satisfied customer.”

The video surveillance system was installed at LaFrieda’s new  building in North Bergen, N.J. A total of 27 megapixel cameras provide clear, detailed video of day and night operations and enable the surveillance system to cover more square footage with fewer cameras. The larger, more detailed, megapixel images enable operations to zoom in on a specific area of live or archived video to see important details such as the words printed on the side of a box.  The cameras used include Arecont Vision’s AV1355 1.3 megapixel H.264 MegaDome IP network cameras and the AV2155  2 megapixel H.264 MegaDome IP network cameras and are located inside and outside the facility, in coolers, processing areas, shipping and receiving, and office area.

According to Ralph Tisei, President of VisionTec Solutions Corp, the system integrator that designed, engineered and installed the system at LaFrieda, no other cameras were even considered for the project. He says, “The image reproduction from Arecont Vision far surpasses any other megapixel manufacturer. The cameras yield many times the video resolution compared to traditional analog cameras and were a natural choice for the installation.”
