Milestone VMS to Support Bosch 832 Series IP Cameras

Milestone Systems has released Device Pack 5.6 that offers dedicated integration between Milestone XProtect software and the new Bosch 832 series of IP cameras.

"Milestone and Bosch have worked closely together to ensure this integration of our products," said Rudolf Spielberger, alliance manager for Bosch Security Systems GmbH. "Milestone is again the first third-party VMS to support the latest Bosch series of IP cameras, this time the Bosch 832 series. Our companies will continue to collaborate on interoperability of our product portfolios fast and reliably with broad feature support."

The Dinion HD 1080p day/night IP camera delivers uncompromising vision even in busy, colorful scenes. The entire advanced image pipeline, from lens to image processing, ensures images stay sharp throughout the scene. This allows identification of faces, objects and alphanumeric information over a wide area. Operators can zoom in to any part of a scene to examine specific details without losing clarity. The motorized auto-back-focus makes it easy to get a sharp image the first time.

Milestone provides dedicated support through focused attention from the device team to ensure the fullest feature interoperability between camera models and XProtect VMS. The integration with the 832 Bosch cameras allows users of Milestone XProtect IP video management software to operate video streaming in both M-JPEG and H.264 with RTP/UPD protocols and audio streaming.

"Milestone is very pleased to be the first third-party VMS vendor to support the Bosch 832 cameras," said Henrik Friborg, co-founder and VP strategic alliances, Milestone Systems "We strive to support significant new cameras at the time they hit the market to provide customers with the freedom of choice they expect when working with Milestone XProtect open platform video management software."
