Morse Watchmans Brings Touchscreen Technology to Automated Key Control Solutions

Morse Watchmans has added the newest technology to it's KeyWatcher Touch key control and asset management system to create a more powerful enterprise-level system. Advanced features that deliver a robust, state-of-the-art solution include the capability for integration of up to 10 locations; common usage of databases and programming; instrument-grade touch screen LCD display; KeyAnywhere to allow the return of any key to any KeyWatcher cabinet in the system; and KeyFind to quickly find a specific key.

"The Keywatcher Touch system packs high performance features into a modular and fully scalable design and pushes the boundaries for what is possible with key control and asset management systems," said Fernando Pires, VP sales and marketing, Morse Watchmans. "The technology is seamless and efficient and makes the integration of key control solutions into the enterprise more convenient."

The KeyWatcher Touch is engineered around a new CPU board with a built-in SD card slot, USB connectivity, 10/100 Ethernet and audio output jack. Convenient user features include access via a new optical fingerprint reader and card reader (complete with alarm and access control integration capability), as well as larger buttons and an easier to use interface with step by step instructions. Keys available for access can be called up on the screen and "My Keys Out" and "Find Key" are additional new operations that provide users with the location of a specified key, what keys have not been returned and when the key will become overdue. Reservations and optional comments can be entered at the site.

The unified system allows up to 10 KeyWatcher Touch locations to be connected, using a shared SQL database and can accommodate more than 14,000 keys and 10,000 users. Control and management of the system including programming, remote functions and reporting are available with KeyWatcher TrueTouch software and KeyWatcher Server as the primary interface for the client software and database maintenance.

The new 7-inch capacitive touch screen / LCD display is designed for superior durability and reliability. It features a resolution of 800x480, excellent readability and a wide viewing angle. The front glass is rated at 7 Mohs hardness for scratch resistance yet only requires an activation force close to 0 grams for operation.
