North American Video Continues Growth

North American Video (NAV) is off to a strong start in 2012, the company reported recently.

With numerous large projects currently in progress, as well as several more in the pipeline, NAV reports strong customer activity in the gaming, higher education, financial services and corporate vertical market segments. Since the acquisition of Nexus Technologies in August of last year, the company has also experienced strongly accelerated growth in their Northeast service portfolio.

“We now service well over 1,000 client locations across the Northeast, and an increasing number of our projects are sold with service agreements attached,” said Jason Oakley, CEO, North American Video. “The combination of experienced technicians, product/technology expertise and after-sales support that we offer appeals to customers because it provides the complete solution they require.”

The company has also seen a strong recovery in its core gaming business in recent months.

“Our gaming pipeline is at its highest level since 2008,” said Laurie Jackson, VP sales, North American Video. “We are seeing customers recommence some of the past projects that were put on hold during the last couple of years. Our continued investments in technology training, engineering and the sales team are paying off as we are able to capture a larger share of the IP video opportunities in the gaming market.”

Gaming projects scheduled for completion by NAV in early 2012 include BestBet-Jacksonville, Florida’s newest and largest poker room; Atlantic City’s Revel Casino with over 2,200 cameras; an advanced IP video surveillance and access control system at the new Valley Forge Casino in Pennsylvania; a 3,500 camera system expansion and upgrade at Harrah's Cherokee Casino and Hotel in North Carolina, and the new Maryland Live! Casino which, when completed, will rank among the country’s largest gaming and entertainment venues.

NAV recently relocated its Northeast regional office to a larger facility in Pearl River, New York, a move that reflects an overall increase in business throughout the region as well as their recent acquisition of Nexus Technologies Group. The new office will house Engineering, Sales and Design staff and have responsibility for the NAV service portfolio. NAV currently handles over 500 calls each month to existing and new clients, a number which is rapidly growing.

“We are excited to bring our team together in this new location,” said Robert Biscardi, VP and GM of NAV’s Northeast business. “Our customers are already seeing the benefits of our expanded operational and service capabilities.”
