Security Products 2012 New Product of the Year Award Winners Announced

DALLAS, August 30, 2012 - Security Products magazine, the only integrated product magazine reaching the entire security market, announced the winners of its 2012 New Product of the Year Award today.

The Security Products New Product of the Year Award honors the outstanding product development achievements of security equipment manufacturers whose products are considered to be particularly noteworthy in their ability to improve security. More than 90 entries were received in the fourth successful year of this contest.

Winners will receive awards and will be recognized at ASIS International 2012 in Philadelphia September 10-12. They will also be featured on Security Products’ leading industry website, http://security-today.com, and will be highlighted in the December 2012 issue of Security Products magazine. All entries will be showcased in the September 2012 issue of Security Products magazine. The magazine is distributed to more than 65,000* subscribers monthly as well as at key industry trade events such as ASIS, and its website is visited by thousands of security professionals every week.

    A8V MIND

    Hexagon’s Geosystems presents a portable version of its Accur8vision detection system. A rugged all-in-one solution, the A8V MIND (Mobile Intrusion Detection) is designed to provide flexible protection of critical outdoor infrastructure and objects. Hexagon’s Accur8vision is a volumetric detection system that employs LiDAR technology to safeguard entire areas. Whenever it detects movement in a specified zone, it automatically differentiates a threat from a nonthreat, and immediately notifies security staff if necessary. Person detection is carried out within a radius of 80 meters from this device.
