AlliedBarton Security Services to Support Military At ASIS

AlliedBarton Security Services is demonstrating its commitment to supporting our nation’s heroes at the 58th Annual ASIS International Seminar and Exhibits conference in Philadelphia.

lliedBarton encourages all attendees of ASIS to visit their booth, No. 739, to demonstrate their support of the military. For each signature collected, AlliedBarton will donate a care package to military personnel overseas.

AlliedBarton has hired more than 8,000 veterans to date this year and continues to actively hire veterans. “We are committed to hiring veterans, reservists, their families and caregivers, and promoting this important hiring practice,” said Jerold A. Ramos Sr., CABR, CRM, Manager, Talent Acquisition for AlliedBarton. “Our company-wide military hiring program, Hire Our HeroesSM, is an essential part of our recruiting strategy.”

AlliedBarton invites ASIS attendees to attend the educational session, “Hiring America's Heroes: Developing Best Practices Through Military Assistance Organizations” presented on Monday, September 10, at 11 a.m.

Presenting speakers include United States Navy veteran Jerold Ramos, who leads AlliedBarton’s employee partnerships with military organizations nationwide; Kevin M. Schmiegel, Vice President, U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Executive Director, Hiring Our Heroes which launched in March 2011 and is a nationwide initiative to help veterans and military spouses find meaningful employment; and Daniel Lessard, Director of the Warriors to Work Program, Wounded Warrior Project, who directs training and employment for Wounded Warriors nationwide.

“Military assistance groups exist to help put our heroes to work, and they are mutually beneficial to employers and veterans,” says Ramos. “When heroes put these resources to work for them, the end result is career opportunities and ongoing support. When employers engage in building and growing their relationships with these resources, the result is a highly talented candidate pool. The men and women who have dedicated themselves to serving our country make an incredible contribution in the workplace. More Americans at work is good for our country. More military personnel at work is good for our veterans, and for businesses in all industries.”

Focused solely on the security of businesses, organizations, and nations, ASIS 2012 is the most forward-thinking event driving the industry's future which connects top decision makers from the public and private sector. The exhibit floor at ASIS 2012 will feature more than 700 companies demonstrating security technology and innovations, along with cutting-edge products and services, covering more than 230,000 net square feet. More than 20,000 security, business and government professionals from 90 countries are expected to attend.

“Military hiring is critical to our support of those who protect our freedom,” Ramos continued. “However, military support can take many forms and we are proud to partner with Operation Gratitude to also send care packages to our military serving overseas. The attendees at ASIS understand the importance of supporting our troops and we will send a care package for every attendee who registers in our booth and signs our military support board.”
