ComNet Expands Line of Transmission Products

ComNet continues to innovate in 2012 with an expansion to its line of fiber optic and Ethernet transmission products.

ComNet is expanding our line of hardened Ethernet switches by introducing all new 8, 12 and 28-port Gigabit Managed Ethernet switches, all backed by the ComNet Lifetime Warranty.

Also on display will be the full line of Self-Managed Switches that operate with an up-link port to forward the Ethernet data to the next network device. There are now four models with and without PoE.

ComNet is innovating the traditional media converter by introducing features on top of the standard functionality. On display will be a unique multi-rate media converter that allows the user to select between 100FX or 1000FX transmission. Perfect for use where an upgrade to Gigabit is planned or Ethernet devices of different bandwidth requirements are being used.

ComNet will also introduce a 10/100 Mbps media converter that offers two contact closure relays for use with tamper switches or where needed.

Also introduced is a full line of PoE media converters that meet the IEEE802.3af and the IEEE802.3at specification offering 30watts or 60watts. These media converters are available with one and two fiber SC and ST connectors as well as SFP models.

ComNet is leading the way with a new media interface. The ComNet FVT/FVR(X)MI[/M] is an HDMI fiber optic  link for extending the distance of uncompressed high-resolution bi-directional HDMI video with full HDCP copyright protection, EDID and CEC connection functionality. The high-resolution signal is transmitted over one multimode optical fiber for up to 1000m. Resolutions of up to 1080p60 are supported.
