ASIS International, the preeminent organization for security professionals worldwide, has released a new edition of its Protection of Assets (POA). First published in 1974 as a subscription service, the Protection of Assets (POA) has consistently been the ultimate reference for the security professional. The new eight-volume hard-bound set was completely re-written, edited, and critiqued by hundreds of security subject matter experts. The comprehensive, one-of-a-kind reference covers the full spectrum of physical, information, and personnel security.

POA is used by chief security officers, security professionals at the executive and managerial level and those aspiring to these management positions, and others responsible for corporate asset protection. It also serves as an expansive resource for security department staff, students pursuing a program in security management or assets protection, and is the primary reference for the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) exam.

“Due to a tremendous effort by hundreds of subject matter experts, POA has become the premier reference for security professionals,” stated Michael E.

Knoke, CPP, POA managing editor. “Having also served on the ASIS Professional Certification Board as president, I am very pleased to incorporate this body of knowledge into the CPP exam reference material.”

POA is available as an online subscription, an eight-volume print set, as individual books, and on Kindle. Visit the ASIS Bookstore online for more information and to order.
