Ameristar Acquires Parking Booth Company

Ameristar Fence Products has announced that it recently acquired prefab booth manufacturer, Parking Booth Company Inc., of Sun Valley, CA.

Parking Booth Company Inc. has been a fixture in the prefabricated booth and building industry for more than 15 years. Its guard booth and directional traffic control products are recognized necessities for entry control all over the U.S., says Ameristar.

The addition of guard booth and building structures, together with Ameristar’s array of perimeter security products, represents an integral piece in Ameristar’s strategy of becoming a leading source for perimeter security and entry solution products. This acquisition follows last year’s purchase of ATG Vehicle Barrier products, which includes fixed and automated bollards, wedge barriers and other crash-rated entry control equipment, now manufactured in the company's Tulsa, OK, plant.

Barry Willingham, the company’s vice president, said, “The entry into this segment of the market is expected to be one of the most dynamic expansions of our business since the introduction in 2005 of our patented rackable welded fence panel called Montage. The synergies of our existing manufacturing processes with the production of these structures are quite incredible.”

“Our ability to reduce cost while producing a higher quality product, with the shortest lead times in the industry, supported with the experience and capabilities of the Parking Booth Co. team will quickly move Ameristar into a leadership position in the booth and building structures business,” he added.

Ameristar Fence Products was chartered over 30 years ago to provide specialty fence products that were more affordable. This was accomplished by complete reformation of the way fence products were being manufactured. Product design was approached from many new perspectives such as maximizing high-volume productivity, increasing strength and durability, promoting ease of installation and enhancing aesthetic appearance.

An expansion to more than one million square feet of manufacturing facilities spanning the last 18 years has facilitated the housing of world class technology, including high-speed roll forming equipment, robotic automation for welding and transportation functions, and unsurpassed finish coating processes utilizing both powder and E-Coat methodologies. A fully integrated approach of processing raw materials to finished goods has been the catalyst resulting in driving Ameristar to its current position as the largest manufacturer of architectural metal fences and gates in the world, said the company.
