PPM 2000 Receives Lenel Factory Certification from the OpenAccess Alliance Program

PPM 2000 today announced that it has received Lenel factory certification and joined the Lenel OpenAccess Alliance Program (OAAP). PPM’s Perspective, an incident management software, now integrates with Lenel’s OnGuard access control system, enabling specific events in OnGuard to automatically trigger a dispatch call in Perspective, leading to faster, more efficient emergency response and a reduction in manual data entry. When one of the actionable alarms occurs, Perspective automatically picks it up and starts a call, bringing in all of the critical data and presenting it in the dispatch interface. OnGuard events that don’t require a dispatch, but still need to be documented, can also be pulled straight into Perspective where they are logged as new activity records which can, if necessary, be escalated to incident status.

PPM 2000 has completed required factory testing at Lenel to validate the functionality of its interface to OnGuard. “Certain events need to be escalated for both action and documentation. By integrating access control with incident management, users of both OnGuard and Perspective benefit from faster incident response coupled with stronger incident documentation, analysis and reporting,” said Gidon Lissai, director of strategic alliances with Lenel Systems. “We look forward to PPM’s continued involvement in the Lenel OpenAccess Alliance Program.”

“We build a lot of custom integrations for our clients, but the most common request we get for an out-of-the-box option is Lenel. Everyone wants to be able to integrate their access control system with their incident management process, including their front-end dispatching and emergency response,” states Brian McIlravey, CPP, co-chief executive officer. “Being able to offer a factory certified integration between Perspective and OnGuard is an important milestone for PPM, and we are excited to share this development with our mutual clients, users of both Perspective and OnGuard.”

Perspective by PPM 2000 is an end-to-end, total solution for reporting incidents, managing investigations and building cases. Using Perspective, organizations can make informed decisions about security operations and be proactive in their approach to incident reduction.

OnGuard access control delivers a rich, total-security solution regardless of the scale or complexity of the application. Based on the latest technology and an open-standards philosophy, OnGuard Access Control seamlessly integrates biometric technology including hand geometry, fingerprint, and even iris recognition. OnGuard offers unique capabilities in credential lifecycle management and is unparalleled in its ability to leverage smart card technology.
