OnSSI Selected for Video Management Solution

Player’s Casino in Ventura, California has recently enhanced and expanded its video surveillance and security system, selecting OnSSI’s Ocularis platform, including Ocularis-X server software for operational control. The upgraded system designed and installed by Customized Contractor Services, Inc. (CCS) of Fullerton, California, features a combination of analog and megapixel cameras, high-density encoders, wireless capability and a network infrastructure overhaul.

According to Ryan Gleason, Project Manager of CCS, OnSSI’s Ocularis was the preferred solution because of the system’s ease-of-use and feature-rich capabilities. He said, “No other system we looked at compared. Among other advantages, Ocularis allowed us to merge control of analog cameras with the new megapixel cameras onto a single, intuitive interface for easy operation. It also made training easier. In terms of operational effectiveness, remote surveillance, enabled by Ocularis-X, is delivering exactly what the customer envisioned.”

OnSSI's Ocularis platform manages video feeds from virtually an unlimited number of cameras with immediate access to live views and recorded video via an intuitive user interface. It supports multiple-network operation, both wired and wireless, which allows end users to extend the reach of their systems. Ocularis includes a complete video management system (VMS) for streaming, recording and managing an unlimited number of cameras as well as dual streaming capability for improved hardware utilization.

Ocularis-X utilizes high-definition, interactive streaming (HDIS) technology to allow high-quality, full frame rate delivery of multiple cameras to mobile or web clients with complete interaction with camera controls.

“Security management has a much greater control of the system when all aspects are tied together under the Ocularis platform,” said Gadi Piran, president and CTO of OnSSI. “It puts this casino at the technology forefront for security control and flexibility.”
