American Security Systems Appoints David Cohen President and COO

American Security Systems Inc. has announced the appointment of David Cohen as President and Chief Operating Officer.

Cohen has a long career guiding businesses in the light manufacturing and business services arenas.  Most recently, David concluded an advisory project for a Providence Equity Partner-owned group of companies, Altegrity and HireRight, specifically in the areas of global operations improvement, technology deployment and business integration. Cohen has previously held leadership positions with PVI Solar, Dempsey Myers & Col, and Sterling Infosystems. He also consulted for Touche Ross earlier in his career. 

David received his bachelor’s degree in business administration (BBA) from Bernard Baruch College, City University of New York in computer methodologies. Additionally, he has completed graduate studies in finance at St. John's University. 

David and his wife, Jeanette, reside in Westchester County, New York.
