Silent Knight Seminars to Educate Fire Alarm Installers and Maintenance Providers

Silent Knight Seminars to Educate Fire Alarm Installers and Maintenance Providers

Silent Knight by Honeywell will host 15 seminars throughout the U.S., focused on the latest NFPA testing requirements for fire alarm and life safety systems, as well as new codes and business opportunities surrounding carbon monoxide (CO) detection and emergency communications systems. This free, three-hour seminar is packed with educational content for dealers, integrators, electrical contractors, and any facility managers who perform their own fire alarm testing and maintenance. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credits will be given to seminar attendees.

CFPS CBO, Fire Protection Consultant, and Partner of FSCI-Fire Safety Consultants, Inc., Warren Olsen, will be the guest speaker and discuss the proposed NFPA 4: Standard for Integrated Fire Protection and Life Safety System Testing, and the changes it will affect for systems’ testing procedures, documentation, frequencies and more.

The recent escalation of CO detection mandates in nearly all 50 states has left a variety of commercial facilities clamoring for a reliable, yet economical solution. The introduction of a new Silent Knight device, designed to sense both smoke and CO, can produce a substantial savings in material and labor. The seminar will cover a variety of Fire/CO detector applications and cost analysis tools for assessing the business impact of this new, non-proprietary technology.

Silent Knight’s combination of a fire alarm and an emergency communications system (ECS) into one, standalone unit equips installers with another smart, simple and reliable life safety offering to satisfy the growing demand for ECS across many markets. Seminar leaders will discuss the positive aspects of integrating ECS with UL-listed fire alarm systems, relative NFPA 72 codes and the best installer opportunities for this combined approach.
